Herefordshire Fire Protection Services Ltd was founded in December 1984 and has grown to be one of the countries oldest local fire protection companies, carrying out work at over 5,000 locations throughout Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Gloucestershire, Monmouthshire & Powys.

With a staff of over twenty employees we are audited and accredited members of various organisations, including the British Fire Consortium, the countries largest body of independent fire trading companies.

All of our engineers, have vast experience and knowledge of working with a wide variety of fire alarm and fire extinguisher manufacturers’ equipment and all servicing is carried out to comply fully with the recommendations laid down in the current versions of:

British Standard BS 5306 for Fire Extinguishers

British Standard BS 5839 for Fire Alarms,

British Standard BS 5266 for Emergency Lighting

British Standard BS 7671 for Electrical Installations

As required all extinguisher engineers are regularly tested and certified by the British Fire Consortium as competent persons who have completed the British Standards Institution and BAFE approved SP101 requirement and the training clause of ISO 9001, which follows the recommendations laid down in British Standards BS.5306.

All alarm engineers have completed a wide variety of training courses and are certified by most fire alarm equipment manufacturers and the relevant BS.7671 standards.
